I wonder, do many people still hang their wash outside to dry? Is a nostalgic image, but I can do without the wrinkles.
01/02/2013 at 23:30
heh-heh, wrinkles ~ wouldn’t it be nice to tumble them away
01/02/2013 at 23:31
I was referring to the wrinkles in the clothes, but the message remains the same for the face.
01/02/2013 at 23:32
Yep, I thought so
02/02/2013 at 00:05
Can see it flickering in the breeze like in a washing powder advert!
02/02/2013 at 00:35
Hmmmm … flickering’s a cool way to describe it

My laundry smells so wonderful coming from the clothesline, it make ironing less traumatic!
Perhaps because the air smells so sweet?
02/02/2013 at 23:35
There is nothing so sweet and fresh
02/02/2013 at 23:14
Lovely sound here. Down with dryers! k.

Like Lea said ‘air smells so sweet’

The visuals spring out of these words. Beautifully crafted, Polly.
All good wishes, Eric

03/02/2013 at 20:28
heh-heh, was it a tad tricky Claudia?
Good to see you enjoyed it

Concise and neat, it captures a moment wonderfully.

Great to hear from you Gary ~ glad you enjoyed Green T-shirt

I love hanging out my clothes outside – tumble dryers never quite do it for me. Unfortunately, in winter, that means lots of unsightly laundry on radiators… less poetic.
04/02/2013 at 15:15
Nothing quite like fresh air, ‘eh, Marina
06/02/2013 at 00:01
you make laundry day fun
06/02/2013 at 07:21
heh-heh … sounds like a Fleetwood Mac song

06/02/2013 at 01:28
Some fun…the poem, not the activity.
I’ve never hung clothing outside in my life: city girl. LOL!

Wow, Jamie! Some claim to fame!
I’ve done my fair share of what my mum called ‘lining it’
10/02/2013 at 20:36
Mmmm love the smell of freshly aired and dried clothes – especially bed sheets
