Golden finch perched on
Sharp wire, mind your toes.
Feed on fat ball, watch
Cool cat stalk below
The rustic table.
A mound of mealworms,
Red robin’s fast food,
Away the finch turns
Preferring cereal.
Finches find mealworms
Indigestible.
Cool cat waits, yawns.

Cats do enjoy playing with their food.
Well done!

Patience has it’s own rewards huh? I wouldn’t be so patient lol

It’s that idle nonchalance that gets me ~

Ah, that works too

If what I read about recently in the newspaper is true–that roaming cats are responsible for a huge amount of bird killings–then I’d say Finch better be on the lookout. The cat will likely be the victor!

They are so utterly predatory and patient … you’re right, Finch had better beware!

Cats are patient and I believe they know how sharp the wire is. A cliffhanger that leaves me hoping the bird can hold on.

Cats know … everything!

Let’s hope that naughty puddy tat has a bell on its collar!
