I enjoyed your way of looking at the picture. It would be good if anger would float away harmlessly and just disappear in the atmosphere forever. Enjoyed your perspective.
Wow, that was brilliant. A clear statement about anger — lots of information and with incredible creative verse. You show clearly how information and Art are inseparable.
hahahahahahahahahahahaha … not laughing at the thought of an aneurism, just that you couldn’t resist a med analogy, you tickle me silly Carrie, what an ace remark
…i agree with the rest… if only our anger could be easily release as how we fly a balloon up high… then i think there would be no need for too much hold of temper & self pity… great thoughts… loved it…smiles…
Fabulous Polly. Love the counterbalance of the playfulness of your form and the seriousness of the message. If only anger would just drift away – or be so easily deflated.

very creative way to look at a red balloon…filled with anger…if we could let it drift away, so often it pops! Wonderful Polly!

Hopefully if there’s any bursting from an angry outburst, it will be one’s balloon and not one’s aneurysm…
24/02/2013 at 07:01
hahahahahahahahahahahaha … not laughing at the thought of an aneurism, just that you couldn’t resist a med analogy, you tickle me silly Carrie, what an ace remark

Wow–I have never thought of helium as a metaphor for anger, but it so WORKS. Great take on the prompt, Polly.
24/02/2013 at 07:04
Funny thing, when I taught Anger Management we’d use the analogy of a balloon for anger … guess that was where the poem started …
24/02/2013 at 07:11
Imagine, that picture with your poem in therapists offices everywhere! Well done.
