Indigo blue,
a royal hue
purples beyond frames
of mirrored glass.
Ghostly ache
in a red heart
beat.

    • Got past you? It wouldn’t dare, surely! heh-heh… you might have noticed that Christine’s been in touch – thanks for asking her whether she followed me, I love the work I’ve seen of hers so am delighted :)
Hope all well with you – catch up soon x

      • I’m so very glad that Christine is now following your blog. I hope you get a chance to explore her work. She is inspiring, courageous and has become a treasured friend. :) Enjoy the festival! I am there in spirit. x

  3. Hi Polly,

Lea just asked me if I followed your blog and I said that I didn’t, but would do so today! Im the Christine who just bought three copies of Chatterton! I gave one to my writing group tutor at the end of term to say thank you because his group keeps me feeling alive; having MS can, if we are not careful, cause us to isolate. I think you know of him, he is James Nash and Im hoping you’re the same Polly I have seen commenting on his fb page. If you aren’t then all this will sound like gobbldygook!

I love this poem! I actually came across your name via Holly Magill.

    • Hi Christine, how fab! I’m so pleased to ‘meet’ you :)
I do know of James, funnily enough Holly recommended him to me after she’d done one of his courses in Wales – and they say it’s a small world (!)
I’ve followed Léa forever, it seems, and we get along well, so I’m doubly delighted that you’ve made contact. I’ve followed your blog so’s we can keep in touch :)
      Best wishes – Polly x

  4. Indigo is one of my favorite words. I have a manuscript with that title. This like a rear view mirror, poignant. K.

  5. Glad to see you’ve found your way to Polly, Christine! She’s often my “partner in crime” at local spoken word events. Also, I was tutored by James (I think the same one) at Caerleon Writers Holiday in 2012. Small world eh? ;)

    • heh-heh… hello my ‘partner in crime’ :D
I guessed your comment might have been intended for elsewhere ie for Christine’s blog – mmmm… it really is blue and moody. I quite like it too.
Love your poem in ‘Disgust’ by the way – congratulations :)
